Welcome to Taskton! These Terms of Service ("Terms") describe your rights and obligations when using the services offered by Taskton ("Taskton", "we", "us", "our") available at taskton.com and any related platforms (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted all of the terms and conditions in these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not permitted to use our Services.
TASKTON IS A TECHNOLOGICAL PLATFORM ONLY. WE ARE NOT A BROKER, FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, CREDITOR, OR FINANCIAL ADVISOR. TASKTON IS OFFERED SOLELY AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE PLATFORM. ALL QUEST PROGRAMS AND REWARDS ARE OFFERED BY THEIR RESPECTIVE PROJECT CREATORS ONLY.
2. Using Our Services
Eligibility
To be eligible to use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old or of the legal age in the jurisdiction where you reside. If you are below the legal age in your jurisdiction, you are prohibited from using the Services.
User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to connect a digital wallet, which creates a user account ("User Account") with Taskton. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Immediately notify us of any security breaches related to the Services
- Be fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Comply with all applicable laws in connection with your use of the Services
Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The Effective Date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Services after any updates constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms.
Compliance
The Services are only available to users in jurisdictions where their use is permitted under applicable law. You certify that you will comply with all applicable laws when using the Services. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to sanctions by the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or United Nations, and are not listed on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
3. Digital Wallet
You may connect your digital asset wallet ("Digital Wallet") to your Taskton account. We do not offer our own digital wallet. Any wallet you connect is subject to that service provider's terms and conditions.
TASKTON DOES NOT CREATE, STORE, OR CONTROL ANY WALLETS OR PRIVATE KEYS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY OF YOUR DIGITAL WALLET. TASKTON WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PRIVATE KEYS, SEED PHRASES, OR PASSWORDS.
4. Quest Platform
Taskton Quest is a campaign management platform that enables projects to create reward-based loyalty programs for user engagement and community growth. By using Taskton Quest, you acknowledge:
- Participation is governed by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, campaign-specific rules, and applicable third-party platform policies (e.g., Twitter/X, Discord, Telegram)
- Taskton disclaims responsibility for accuracy of quest completion tracking, third-party API functionality, or reward values
- Quest creators are solely responsible for the legality and fulfillment of their rewards and campaigns
- Taskton reserves the right to remove or suspend any quest, campaign, or user at any time without notice
XP (Experience Points) earned on Taskton are internal platform metrics only. They do not hold monetary value, are non-transferable, and do not constitute personal property or currency.
Creator Accounts
If you create quests or campaigns on Taskton, you agree to: (a) comply with all applicable laws; (b) be solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your quests and rewards; (c) fulfill all reward obligations to participants; and (d) not use Taskton to mislead users about the nature or value of rewards.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Services to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Abusive Activity: Imposing unreasonable loads on infrastructure; uploading malware; attempting unauthorized access to systems or other wallets
- Unlawful Activity: Violating any applicable law, statute, or regulation; engaging in money laundering or financing terrorism
- Fraud: Operating to defraud Taskton, users, or third parties; providing false or misleading information
- Harassment: Defaming, abusing, harassing, stalking, or threatening other users
- Bot Activity: Using automated tools, scripts, or bots to complete quests or manipulate platform metrics
- Sybil Attacks: Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages in quest completions or reward distributions
- Intellectual Property Violations: Infringing upon copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
Taskton reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these prohibited uses.
6. NFTs & Rewards
Certain quests may offer NFTs, tokens, or other digital assets as rewards. You acknowledge:
- Rewards are offered solely by the respective project creators, not Taskton
- Taskton does not guarantee the value, functionality, or delivery of any reward
- NFTs and digital assets are highly volatile and may lose value
- You are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from rewards received
- Unclaimed rewards may be forfeited per the campaign creator's terms
7. Intellectual Property
The Services and all content, including but not limited to the Taskton logo, designs, text, graphics, software, and data, are the proprietary property of Taskton or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not: modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, or otherwise exploit any content from the Services without our prior written permission. The Taskton name, logo, and product names are trademarks of Taskton and may not be used without permission.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TASKTON MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKTON DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Taskton is not responsible for losses due to vulnerability or failure of any software, blockchain, smart contract, or third-party service. We are not responsible for unauthorized access, phishing attacks, or other security incidents that are not the result of our gross negligence.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TASKTON BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, DIGITAL ASSETS, OR WALLET ACCESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. TASKTON'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TASKTON IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Assumption of Risk
By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
- Price Volatility: Digital assets and NFTs are extremely volatile and may lose value entirely
- Regulatory Risk: The regulatory environment for blockchain and digital assets is uncertain and evolving
- Technology Risk: Blockchain networks may experience downtime, forks, or other technical issues
- Tax Obligations: You are solely responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations related to your use of the Services
- Third-Party Risk: Taskton is not responsible for the actions or failures of third-party services integrated with the platform
11. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Taskton and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content you submit to the platform.
12. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
In the event of any dispute, you agree to first contact us at hello@taskton.com and make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute informally before pursuing formal remedies.
Arbitration
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a single arbitrator. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.
Class Action Waiver
Any claim must be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class action or representative proceeding. You expressly waive any right to bring or participate in a class action lawsuit against Taskton.
13. Miscellaneous
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Taskton regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
